ich gehe hinunter die Gartenwege
für war mich ein gaunt, ernstes Ratsmitglied
Nacht war schwarz und drear
vor langer Zeit im jungen Moonlight
ich habe die Welt geworfen
gerade jetzt
Sie sind schön und verblassen
von der Sonne noch Sterne
ich bot sie aller Abschied
wenn Sie heute abend kommen
